Once you realize you are the only person you can rely on to the job, you’ll hate the MX.
Cummins have there issues, but the support and computer access is an undeniable advantage

And thank u also and so as long as I maintain the isx Cummins every month or 1 or 2 months and change everything and keep it running good u say that the isx isn’t that bad that that usually happens to ppl that don’t maintain the engine? I’m just here for to do the homework cuz can’t find it anywere else if I have to have a horriable engine on hills if it’s reliable I’d still go reliable I just want to know wats the better choice thanks again

Also I’d be an idiot if you didn’t buy the extended warranty on these engines if it was a 1990s cat or Detroit I’d be fine but u need to cover all the crap the put on these new ones from wat I hear and know with emissions

rofl ok...well see how much that warranty costs you in downtime vs buying the part and fixing it yourself. plus dealers cant fix a headlight right and you want to trust em with your engine.

An extended warranty is a waste of money. Not talking down to you, just telling you the truth. Have you ever even owned a truck before? If you take care of a truck, learn how it works, especially these emission motors and invest that warranty money into tools and diagnostic equipment, and you should have plenty left over for a trip to the islands if you stick to the basic tools, you will never need a warranty. Most of the repairs on these trucks are simple maintenance, there is that word again, sensor replacements, servicing and not driving the truck like a dummy, like lugging the motor or abusing it in other ways. You need some tools, the diagnostics, which Cummins gives you those for free, and the ability to get your hands dirty and do the work yourself. Only you will care enough to do the job properly, a dealer could care less, plenty of stories here to back up that comment.
