I drove a 2003 Freightliner Columbia day cab with a Cat C12 a couple times in my company driver days. Governed at 70Mph@1400rpm. Truck could never get out of its own way. Guessing rear ends were 3.02 maybe or 2.64? I don’t know...

I appreciate all the information guys (so glad no one just bashed the f$%k out of the truck and engine) yes I’m getting some more information on the truck with the C15 found one with decent miles and decent price.

Should I run the overhead on the C12 if I purchase it? What other small maintenance should be done that you guys can advise me to do?

Overhead and service any sensors or systems that would effect fuel management just like a cummins
