So I changed the egr cooler. Was about halfway plugged. The turbo and actuator looked and felt like new still. I was surprised. Sector shaft was smooth lock to lock. Calibrated and reinstalled.
So fire truck up and after warmup vgt is still commanding high. After warm up commanded goes down in to the 20s, when egr kicks in it goes back up to 85-91%.
Even tried it with the down pipe disconnected. No difference.
Starting to think this is a electrical issue with the egr sensor harness.
Any ideas?
