CM 2350 J1939 Connection issues?
Hello
First time poster here and just wanted to say thanks in advance for anyone pitching in to try and help me out

My truck is a 2014 Volvo 670 10spd Cm2350 ISX 400ST ESN is 79662661
I have had no issues with the truck up intill last Friday

I was driving the truck with a empty trailer and had a harsh stutter/jerk and was driving about 60mph and my speedometer went down to zero and it felt like I lost power temporarily for a couple seconds and then the truck picked up speed fine along with the speedometer going up to my actual speed

I do have a code reader and I got a abnormal rate code for my turbo actuator along with a couple abs codes that I figure went off due the stuttering of the truck

I brought the truck back to my yard and had this happen a couple time on the way back(40-50mile drive)

Have been doing some research and I assume the reason for this is the turbo actuator was in the closed position while it was waiting for a signal from the ecu via the j1939 network?
I did have the maintenance ecu message and j1939 communicate with ecu message pop up a couple times while I was driving back

So next day I went to start the truck and it would just crank over
I did not hear the fuel pump buzz/prime so I tried a couple more times and nada

I decided to turn off the power via the disconnect switch
After I turned the power back on I did hear the pump prime and the truck started just fine
This leads me to think either the actuator opened and allowed the engine to breath or the fuel pump got a connection and worked fine

I decided to hook up to the j1939 and got the following codes
I transferred the codes into quickserve to get more information
Most of the codes are claiming abnormal update rate

Is there a way I can check the j1939 connection by unplugging the turbo actuator pigtail since from what I have read this acts as a resistor for the system?
Or a way to check the j1939 plug ?

My mechanic is out of town intill Thursday so I would like to gather as much information as possible without just throwing parts at it

I did change the batteries about 3 weeks ago so I plan on going over the connections and checking each battery one by one
I will try to bypass the disconnect switch but my dash shows about 12.6v when I have the key in the on position with the truck off
With truck running it’s about 13.9v so I assume this wouldn’t be batteries and maybe a ground issue or wire short somewhere in the system?

Can anyone recommend or have any suggestions on how to check the j1939 system?

I will upload all the codes I have had since Friday
Thanks

This sounds like a failing ECM to me. Either that or the ignition relay is going out but last time I had a list of codes similar to that it was the ECM.

also need to...

You need to measure the resistance on can bus #2 to ensure it still reads 60-ohms with the truck shut off. - A lot of times, when people remove that stuffs, they unplug harnesses and it also removed the terminating resistor on can bus #2 inadvertently.. and later on, there are turbo and other issues with the engine.
