What's the approximate cost of all the sensors?
I'm assuming the egr valve and doser wouldn't need yearly changing right?

On a 871 all sensors were like 4 something. Like 460 I believe as far as the dozer its replaced. Every 250k miles so it's possible to b changed if you run team bro. The egr valve can be cleaned out bro and so can the dozer. I run local so I try to clean my isx every 6 months

For running heavy( 120-220k gross) but local work in the bay area. Fuel milage sucks with the weight we haul. So lots of stop and go traffic and short hauls( 50 miles or less). For example I billed out 10 hrs and drove 110 miles. How often should I clean the system and sensors? Truck is a 16 567 with the cm2350 550@2050. Truck has 1650 hrs and 36k miles. Thanks

You have one thing working for you, and several working against you;
For you; you run heavy. That means high torque, which is high heat. That means the DPF is almost always in a hot state so when it does do regens, they're as efficient as they can be...
But against you; 1-stop and go, and short distances definately add to soot buildup as the engine is constantly varying RPM's as apposition to having a nice consistent RPM constant cylinder combustion.
2-Because you run short, the unit doesn't always have the opportunity to do the passive regens while running down the road. Your run timing suck, but that's your job
3-I do HH as well, and one of the biggest potential issues we face is idling the truck to build air (shitloads of it, I have 11 tanks on my trailer), build trailers, remove and replace the neck, etc. it's just a fact of the job. Limiting this is the biggest challenge, so use hi-speed idle 900-1200 rpm instead of dead idle. It creates more engine airflow, and it's the best we can do, doing what we do.

The biggest thing, INSTALL A BYPASS OIL FILTER IN THESE APLICATIONS, BEFORE YOU EVEN PUT THE TRUCK TO WORK!!! Soot problems and the subsequent wear will be that much exacerbated by the fact that you run a higher torque load average than 95% of other trucks, you need to be extra vigilant because of this. Oil change intervals at 200hrs MAX! If the oil seems heavily soot filled, consider dropping that to 150. I know that's short, but dude you lean on those components, protect them. I'd also highly recommend shimming your oil pump for the added protection of higher oil psi. This will also blast the oil harder at your Pistons through the cooling jets, potentially helping to prevent or prolong the soot packing issues.

It would mean voiding your warrantee, but I honestly believe that you would benefit from some custom tuning to make that engine run and burn cleaner if you don't want to, or can't remove the mandate due to your location.

Since you don't run many miles, I'd watch the hours instead. If your EGR system is not too bad after 6 months, you can try pushing it out to a year. Just keep a track/record of the hours at service interval and figure it out from there...a lot of this stuff is from trying things and sharing the info so we can all learn from each other.
Please share the data you gain, I would sure be interested in your findings.

Thanks for the great info definitely much appreciated. Wow that is a lot of air tanks and I thought 8 was a lot. We have the 37.4 cfm compressor which is nice. I will definitely install a bypass filters on both trucks. Bought 2 at the same time (400k) thanks california. Anyways the other truck runs lighter than me max gross for that one is 128k. Mostly it's around 65-95k. Plus we have 4.30 gears and a ( 2 speed brownie) and run 55-60 mph. But once again we both have the same driving issues with short trip's etc. For example I'll drive 40 miles to load. Then 20 miles to unload. That 20 miles can take 30 to 60 minutes. We have insite and both regen systems are under 1.0 hpa. We also have 3 peterbilt's with the 871 and 2 peterbilt's with the isc (px-8). This site and Rawze and other members have been a huge help. Like most owners we got sick of the dealers and did not know what to do. Found insite and rawze and gave the dealers the finger lol. Also 7 of our 9 trucks have a cummins and dpf. We have 2 cats but have to sell one this year. Oldest truck in the fleet but the most problem free go figure. I will definitely share my results and findings. Thanks again.
