Updated Gasket 2350
Stock a part today and ran into this has me curious....

Not using this yet so I am wondering has anyone else

3686368 - Cam Plate Gasket Used same one for years.... Re-order to replenish stock today
and received updated 5658175 in place of 3686368 which is made from the same material the crank sensor cover is made of.

The old number needs to go into the plate a certain direction to seal correctly, from common sense and visual standpoint....... I do not see this change making any sense what so ever

Anyone used?

These are genuine Cummins part - ./uploads/202212/post_4059_1670961281_533833b9281b7f58c0e54738fef56fda.jpg

RE: Updated Gasket 2350
Usually, when a gasket is made with those circular dimples in it like that, it is so that it does not fall out on its own as someone assembles something.

I remember replacing a leaking cam plate oring...I cussed for an hour with it falling out at the slightest bump. If they added retention nubs then I approve the design change lol.
