Fuel Pump Rebuild vs?

Hi Folks - I had a long thread here before about a fuel pump failing multiple times. So a little weary on the topic, but I'm wondering with the increase in prices (at least here in Canada) to a rebuild kit, where would you put your money?

Reman Fuel Pump Head (comes with plungers) - 2750 + tappets (400) + gasket = 3200

Full rebuild kit (same head) = 1850

It's almost double the price, my mind is saying just rebuild it without the reman fuel pump head because 1. it's a reman and who knows? and 2. I've not seen any fuel pump heads fail because of the fuel pump head themselves.

I think I would just rebuild it too. Especially if you are doing the work yourself.. I have a very low opinion of reman everything… just my $.02
