Disregard all of that, none of that makes a bit of sense whatsoever.

If it's still leaking, you need to figure out EXACTLY where it's leaking from. If it's not obvious too the naked eye, you'll need to pressurize the entire engine by blocking off exhaust side of turbo and pressurize the other side of the turbo with about 30 psi of shop air.
