Coolant leak in holding tank....Line X to the rescue
After my second coolant holding tank decided to spring a leak I decided to Line X the thing after watching some killer videos on this stuff. I believe it will work and make the tank stronger. You can even pick the color but you have to pay more....or you will get black. I wanted red.

That's awesome! Let us know how it holds up.
I've got a buddy at home that when I show him those pics, he'll bust a nut! He hates that plastic surge tank, it's about the only thing under his hood that he can't chrome, polish, or paint. I won't even mention his polished stainless steel floor...

Will do. They can do some pretty good color matching too. I think your buddy would be pleasantly surprised.

Nice!
I talked to a few guys from the local road dept. that were using POR15 to repair oil pans on plow trucks that would rot in no time. Similar product to LineX, just don't get it on anything you don't want it to stick to! Including your skin!

I've experimented with black on a rusty frame. You can't beat it off with a hammer.
It's not paint but does melt when it came into contact with a still hot weld.

I know a guy that put Line-X on his fuel tanks and fenders of his C500, cause he does a lot of off road in the oilfield. Like we say "Looks pretty good, for an ugly work truck."

I had some pin hole leaks where the straps go around the tank. It sealed pretty well and looked good too. You can do any color you want.
