Yea the 2 is obsolete, they only sell the 3 now. The 2 will work just fine if you can find a genuine one used, good luck. I would suggest you just buy the 3.

Guy that is going to tune my truck said he’s had bad luck with the 3 connecting with the cm870 platform. Said the 2 is the one I need to get. I kinda figured the 2 was looking like it was obsolete.

Why not just get an el-cheapo inline-6 adapter kit off amazon or somewhere and be done with it?. The whole kit is only a few hundred bucks, and they work better for the red engines any ways.

If you don't use the internet to look for one, then you will never find it.

a random search off google for "Inline-6 adapter kit". Looks like their getting quite cheap at only around $200 bucks or so.

(not promoting, just posting examples).;..
on amazon: https://amzn.to/47LPnXo
on flea-bay: https://www.ebay.com/p/1911826316

etc...etc...etc..etc...

H$ell.. I still use the old chineesium Inline-5 adapter kit that I got more than 10+ years ago that i got for $250 off flea-bay. I have not had to buy anything newer yet, .. though at some point I might in the future.

Ok I looked that up and ordered it. Gonna try it that and if it works return the genuine nexiq 3 I got. If things work out, next weekend Running Rough will be able to get this thing dialed in. With CPL 8520 is 500hp/1850tq a safe setting?

Ended up getting the Chineseium inline 6. Running rough got me set up yesterday. Truck seams to run much better. ECM was set at 475hp, we left that alone. But he changed whatever else it is that he changes. Truck idles far nicer even cold than before. No real feedback yet as I only drove it 10miles bobtail. I’ll update once I get it loaded and can really test it. Thanks for the help here.
