There is a TSB on quickserv about noisy gear train on some engines. Here is the TSB...

Engines with suspect crankshaft gears were built between May 2015 and January 2016.
Cylinder liners getting lobed and causing excess oil consumption as early as 35k miles of engine life...

Quote:The date code is formatted as Day, Year, and Shift. For example, "138 2 3" would translate to the 138th day of the year, the year 2012, and the third shift of the day. This code would be May 18th, 2012, Third Shift.

Liners with an XPLZ marking that are produced after the date code 271 3 1 are not suspect for lobing.
Liners with an ABDJV marking are not suspect for lobing.

It looks like they changed the material/design of the liners to help prevent this after 9-28-2013, so if your engine was built before then, it likely has liners potentially prone to this.
TSB for people who get coolant in their fuel, or fuel into their coolant. Effects 2250 and 2350 engines ..

Here is the TSB about newer style rocker levers for longer overhead cam life...

TSB that includes a video on checking the fuel pump system to see if it is failing or producing reduced flow/pressure on the 2250 and 2350 engines...

Nice! This is my favorite thread!
Goes right along with Rawze's Failure Analysis
Engineering Research.
I second that Vin!! Rawze you should re-name this thread...."Fixes for Cummins current Blunders!"
