So long story kinda short.. We bought a used truck that had a rebuilt engine and came with warranty.. Oil pressure dropped to 80kpa.. Found the cam bush didn't wanna be in the head anymore.. Metal ruined everything. Pulled it out stripped it completely and the warranty process begun. Aftermarket parts were used too.. So we came to an agreement to have genuine only parts fitted. What I'm interested in is are the parts in the states much cheaper compared to here in Western Australia? Isx Egr
Holy fu**!! $4500 here for a reman head.. Not sure what brand new would cost. Crazy price differences
Google says todays exchange is Australia $1.00 = US $0.75

Therefore Aus $4,500 for used head = US $3,375.

I live in Canada and run in the US a lot, so I'm constantly converting currencies to see if something is a good deal or not. Canada's dollar is about the same rate as Australia right now; I just paid CDN $6072.96 for a 5413782RX head. You didn't do too bad, sounds like I really got taken.
What is the hourly rate for labor in AU?
Cummins charge $150/hr give or take $10. A brand new ISX cyl head list price is just shy of $10,000+GST here.

You might do better with one from the US, even with shipping. Depending on crating charges and how fast you need it.
I just did a major rebuild on an 870-24,000$ US. That was every gasket and seal and NEW head. New clutch, new balancer, new injector camshaft and all the rockers. New turbo and injectors. New exhaust manifold and most of the exhaust piping(dual exhaust). No labor since I did it myself
