We have a good customer that has this unit but with a honda genset. He said it works great and has had it for 2 years now..

A guy had a generator on his truck. Real nice set-up. But the fuel tank on the generator was removed. He had a split fuel tank for the truck. The side which would have had hydraulic oil had gas, and a 1 psi pump to supply the generator. Reason being, he said gravity fed gasoline systems were illegal on a truck.
Do you know anything about that?

It's OK to use generator fuel tank.
But something like [

393.65 subsection d states
(d)Gravity or syphon feed prohibited. A fuel system must not supply fuel by gravity or syphon feed directly to the carburetor or injector.
