So the IMap sensor then...right?
Yup changed that 1 and the delta-p sensor. Ran a little better but still bad
Single bolt, with slotted hold down, holds the sensor into the intake has plastic "cage" over the sensor tip, could be call imap.. Also the exhaust back pressure sensor on front top side of exhaust manifold..

About 24psi
I've had it up to 1750 and the most boost at that rpm is about 28. Anything under 1500rpm and the boost is below 20psi
What rpm is this @ on Jakes? Seems a little low especially if you are @ 1500 rpm.
I really don't know what the jakes boost to from factory.. Mine is mm-2 anything close to or over 1500 rpm and my jake boost to 30-32 psi.. Change back pressure sensor, clear out egr system from exhaust manifold to intake manifold. I used 2 gallons of Castrol super clean, not diluted at all, then rinsed everything out well and blew it dry with shop air..
My 2250 shakes a bit while using the jakes if I haven't used the jakes in a while. Like after driving though a town that doesn't allow jakes. After I've used the jakes a couple times on full strength, the shaking stops.

On full strength at 1500 rpms, the boost is a little over 30 psi. (Tough to tell actual psi on my Volvo gauge.)
Many things could affect jake brake performance.
Overhead set - was it done by reputable mechanic recently?
Soot clogged oil passages could
Not working solenoid could
ECM settings in INSITE could
Different edition of calibration in ECM
The overhead was done at Peterbilt about 2 months ago but lets be honest about that one lol.
I'm pretty sure the ecm and settings are good but i dont have insite to check andi cant afford it right now, nor do i trust any particular shop to help me there.
My last oil sample, soot was 0.2. The 1st oil sample i did from the original oil that I had when i picked it up had the soot at 0.7 ao at least its on the way down but you may be right about the soot in the overhead.
I think maybe peterbilt didnt check that the jake brake connections in the overhead were tight or plugged all the way in.
