I am ready to perform an EGR delete before I go completely broke....

Where do I start?

Head to Ebay, get one of these... http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-INLINE-5-INS...10&vxp=mtr

You will need a laptop with Windows 7 or newer. If you are not computer literate, PM Unilevers, he helped me greatly setting everything up. You will need TeamViewer on your laptop to let him in to work his magic.

Replace all of your EGR sensors, do the tuneup, clean all the soot out, use Carburetor Cleaner! I needed a case and a half to clean out the soot.

PM Unilevers and or Gearhead, they can walk you through it.

I did mine in my driveway. I went from 4.5 to up to 9 mpgs, ON PAPER... My average was around 7.5 pulling a dry van with a mid roof. I was getting 9 with a flat bed. Truck stopped breaking down, but then my head gasket went. And it had nothing to do with the tune. Looking back, the truck was more than likely bad when I bought her. But I was to busy fighting the EGR monster to notice. She is getting an in frame right now, should have her back by Friday... ;-)

Oh, best thing I "theoretically" ever did!
did u just do a egr tune up or did u reprogram your ecm?

For e Detroit, I would suggest contacting Gearthead or Unilevers from the forum here in a PM message. Maybe they can give you some good advice so that you will not end up like so many others who get duped into a bad del.
