Any of you guys know if a 9 pin data cable for VDO ELD would work in a 7 pin. Y cable marries up to diagnostic port on current unit I am switching unit to.
Removed the ELD from my 2010 T800 and am in the process of installing it in my 2007 W900; it has a C15, the 800 has a 871.
The tail end on where it goes into ELD only has six wires to connector. Looks like a 9 could be used on a 7, but a 7 port cable to 9-you would be missing ports for collecting data when you plug in your laptop.
