Truck will be running down the road just fine the red shut down light will come on. Killing the motor I had a check engine light on before this. Flash code said lose control. After the motor shut done had a code 187 low voltage or short. Check wiring harness couldn't find anything to cause this.[/size]
Do you have access to Insite or someone who could check the fault codes for you?

Check this out. I would first check voltage to the oil pressure sensor, then your vehicle speed sensor.
Register your engine on Cummins Quickserv for free and type in the code. It gives a full description of the code.
But if you're in need in a hurry...

No I don't the truck is on the said of the road. I'm trying to get it back to my home town. I'm in the middle of oil field country a tow bill would be crazy out here.
Also would like to add that when the shutdown light starts to flash when going do the road, if I take my foot of the throttle it will stop and you can drive for about 45 seconds till light comes on again. Eventually it will shutdown the motor
What is the voltage of the batteries?

Gauge is reading 12 volts. I don't have a tester so I can't check each one. I did disconnect all batteries cleaned and check for bad wires. Will a low battery or corroded wire cause this?
Unplug the sensors listed in Chamberpains' images one at a time to see if the engine will stay running (check eng light will be on but stop eng light will be gone if one of the sensors is faulty)
