Looking for info on 2006 Oil Pan Gasket Replacement.

1. Is there a gasket upside (to the block) or downside (to the pan) I should be aware of?

2. Is there a particular bolt pattern to use?
( Circular, just doesn't sit well in thought.. Pan is to large... I think! )

3. Use Silicone? Top side ( Block ), Silicone ( Pan Side ) or both?

4. Recommended silicone for reused oil pan, if any?

5. How much silicone to use, if any? 1/16 bead outside perimeter.

All help provided will Truly be Greatly Appreciated...

Thank You,

R. Taylor

10-4. Thought, I needed E/SN to access after registering.. But forgot to get it while at yard today..

Thanks for the info..
Oil pan gasket will fit correctly in all possible orientations. Small bead of silicone in each corner where the block joins the flywheel & gear housings (block side only). Tighten the bolts in a circular or middle-out pattern, whatever you like - up to 35ftlb.
Thank You Signature..

The old guy went to work again today and left yard without getting the ESN..

I even had the hood open to blow out air to air and Filter,, ETC...

Still closed the hood without even thinking about it...
Other than whats been said: I tried to reuse old ....it leaked. On the corners make sure you scrape old silicone off first.
