What is this substance? I wiped it away and put the new black filter on that was like way less from Amazon. Like 40 bucks compared to 100 at dealer.

Condensation and crap, you need to change that filter at least once a year. Is the air dryer functioning properly? if so, you caught it in time.
looks like maybe your compressor is leaking oil into your air system.
I tend to put off things until I get home. I used a lawn mower belt to unhook it.
Wow..100 bucks..mine only cost $20-30 at a dealer. And they're thread on just like that.
Flatbedkid. U need to make better friends at the dealer or just find a different dealer that doesnt screw u when ya walk in.
Has anyone ever had issues with the AD-SP cartridge seizing onto the base of the air dryer? Those AD-SP cartridges are metal along with the air dryer base being aluminum is the worst combination ever along with the surrounding elements. I put anti seize onto the threads of the cartridges.

Cheapest I can find around here is the TA, around $80 for my "special" air dryer.
