I just got two new ISX's in peterbilts and they have a strange coupler on the air line leaving the compressor. Looks to me like you can air them up without removing the main air line. This is would be very handy for me but I need the other side of that connector. Any one know?
I'm unsure about this but it resembles a flat face hydraulic quick connect coupler.
I believe you can get those at FleetPride or even NAPA. I have that same connection on mine too, and yes it is for hooking up a quick connect with an airline. I also had the same fitting on my radiator in place of a petcock valve.
It is called a Compucheck port. Good luck finding one.

I took mine off and put a regular air-line fitting. that was a mistake, as the hot air from the compressor melted the o-rings inside it and it started leaking all the time.

Unilevers

i ordered a tone of male/female compuchecks from a local hydraulic shop - i use em for checking all sorts of things on isx's and cats.
Any Parker store will have Compucheck fittings.

[attachment=1467][attachment=1467]I tried two hydrolic places. Both thought I was insane but one sold me the wrong coupler. Here is what it looks like

Factory installed coupler is for emergency air system charging from service truck. I have had this situation. How road service mechanic can connect to this coupler. They don't have all variety if it differs from stock.
