Sitting in my truck in the AC I see a waft of blue smoke then smell burning grease so I pop the hood open just in time to hear a clunk and Sparks fly out from under the fan pulley. So threw the hood shut incase it came apart as I was going for the key luckily it did not. Now sitting at shop as I couldn't find an assembly or rebuild kit myself in Minneapolis. Only thing found was a 2 speed assembly at fleetpride.

Anyone use a 2speed are they still air lockup with the Eddy current running the low speed?

Unilevers

most are air lockup and magnetic 50% when freewheeling for the 2nd speed. I personally would avoid a 2 speed if i could.

you mean you cant find a drivemaster super kit? those things are common as hell, is it a weird funny application?

Yeah I would have been there for 2 days as I called there and they said they couldn't get me till third shift which means they wouldn't have been able to order the hub out of Chicago as early as Mike's truck and trailer did. I didn't do too bad I skated out of there at $1,100 in parts and $350 in labor
