Double check and make sure the egr is blocked off. If it’s leaking you get more soot.
Are you guys with the cm870's draining the second oil plug at the back of the engine? There's about a gallon of oil that sits in the upper pan area.

Mine doesn't have the second plug.

I never did get around to installing block off plates. It’s always been on the “to do” list

I didn’t put mine back in once because I didn’t like the condensation I was getting behind the plug. The first thing I noticed was my oil turned black quicker. I put the plug back in. Oil stayed clean. Uniliever said the egr valve will weep. If you’ve been working the engine harder lately you would notice that oil turn black. Higher boost mean more back pressure against the egr valve. But it could do it just because also.
Ok guys someone please shed a little light on why oil can too clean... ???
