HI FOLKS,
TODAY I STARTED PERFORMING AN EGR TUNE UP ON MY ENGINE.
DURING THE PROCESS OF CLEANING THE INTAKE I DISCOVERED SOME CORROSION ON THE GASKET SURFACE.
I DIDN'T SEE ANY EVIDENCE OF IT LEAKING. BUT, I AM SURE THAT IT WILL.
SO DO I JUST REPLACE THE INTAKE OR TAKE IT TO A MACHINE SHOP AND GET IT MILLED DOWN?
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
THANKS
Yes find some very hard titainum two part epoxy mix it up and fill in spots. Then use flat file to make it perfect. But the best way would be to have it milled down.
thanks gearhead.
i shouldn't have to use the epoxy if I have it milled, right?
No not if you get it milled it was just a way you could have went with. There is some two part epoxy that guys fix counter bores with. The stuff is so hard they fill counter bore bore with it then after it cures they use counter bore cutter and cut the epoxy.

That's what I thought you meant.
