Cummins Jake is impressive.
Two things I've learned about DD15 that have me convinced to go Cummins next time.
One is the issue of the plastic oil sump manifold that likes to crack, plus the oil tube O-rings either of which will sieze up an engine.
The other is the assembled hollow camshafts that can cause a cam lobe to rotate on the tube/shaft throwing out the timing on a cylinder and causing all sorts of down stream mayhem on the emission one box.
Oh and the One Box.

can't forget about the fact that the red engine is easy to learn to work + easy access to everything + software etc. had cheaply to do everything on it yourself ... saving tens of thousands every year to the owner if they take full advantage of this.
