working on a n14 with a horrible misfire, noticed #6 injector rocker is moving around twice as fast up and down as all the others. the misfire sounds like it is coming from that cylinder. checked overhead adjustment and everything is good, injector bolt is tight and the injector is seated properly. any ideas of what could be causing the rocker arm to be moving faster then normal?
is it move as far as the others or just faster?

if its going up and down faster but not traveling as far sounds like cam lobe is worn out.
it looks to be traveling as far as the others just about twice as fast.
You are going to have to pull the rear cam follower housing from the side of the motor and Inspect the cam and rockers . It does sound like a worn cam lobe.
The good thing about n14 if you dont have a heat gun to test temp on all cylinders then you can unplug each injector one at a time and find the miss fire. Then you can start to narrow it down....
Pull the pushrod out. Check it for straightness. Then get a long piece of wire to use as a hook to lift the follower off the cam. See how the roller and cam look.
pulled the rear cam follower housing, everything looks good , i did not see any damage to the cam lobes or cam followers .

You are going to have to dig deeper...
