Hey guys I have faulty purge valve that works until it doesn’t anymore.. I installed two new purge valves and it’s still doing the same thing. It works fine up until around 30 minutes of drive time. I then go under truck and put a 10 socket and ratchet it (twist) until it stops again. I’m a little away from the house about 1500 miles and was wondering what I’m missing. I love learning and hopefully I can get it done if not I’ll have to call roadside :/

Thank You for your time and patience
by 'purge valve' ... do you mean the one in the air dryer?.

Maybe the whole air dryer need replacing?.

Also what truck make model and if it is the air dryer purge valve, what kind of air dryer is it? Brand/model would be helpful if you know it.

You said you replaced it twice, is this a cartridge air dryer? Have you replaced the dryer cartridge recently? If too much moisture is getting past the dryer it could affect the purge valve operation.
