You can copy it out. It's changing it and putting it back in that can be a problem.

What is the max boost it gets up to in a hard pull?

That is excessive boost. It needs to be about 37~ish max. 40+ will eventually cause harm to the engine and also cost it fuel mileage. If it was someone from the forum here that made the program, then you need to get with them and have them lower it down to something more reasonable.
