RE: Amazon’ Fleetguard LF1400NN - Rawze - 09-30-2024 Well... I need to give credit where credit is due... It looks like Donaldson filters at one point solved this issue with the o-ring getting sucked into the enigne as well. Here is a recent pic of one that I took myself (verified this one was not a chineesium fake) ... [attachment=9598] the ones that are safe have a large rubber flap that cannot get sucked into the engine, instead of a simple (dangerous) o-ring. Here is a link to their ISX filter page: https://www.donaldson.com/en-us/engine/filters/products/lube/replacement-filters/competitive-fit-filters/cummins-isx-engines/ RE: Amazon’ Fleetguard LF1400NN - Truckdriven - 09-30-2024 Very interesting, Now I'm curious what the internals look like compared to a Fleetguard, Like do the have the glue strips to control pleat separation and bunching? I've cut open a Napa (wix) filter that the pleats were badly bunched up as there was nothing to control that, I never bought one of them again! The Fleetguard is still a couple bucks cheaper than than the Donaldson at my local dealer...... RE: Amazon’ Fleetguard LF1400NN - eggtrucks - 10-01-2024 I've been using donaldson for many years, always used same supplier....the last batch of p559000 looked like this. Sure looks Chinatized to me...I'm wondering if the supplier is being a crook RE: Amazon’ Fleetguard LF1400NN - eggtrucks - 10-01-2024 (09-30-2024 )Truckdriven Wrote: Very interesting, Now I'm curious what the internals look like compared to a Fleetguard, Like do the have the glue strips to control pleat separation and bunching? That one in the photo would be an engine killer for sure that you have your hands on there. So i checked into it a bit further, it appears Donaldson did change the design on this filter(P559000, the replacement for LF14000NN) their website has the new style pictured on the product page. Why they would change to an inferior design is beyond me... Maybe you should contact them and ask them why your filters are designed so dangerous, and setting themselves up for a major lawsuit when someone's engine fails?. Why they would change to an inferior design is beyond me... I'm a little confused... is the one you pictured with the round o-ring in the center the new style? And what Rawze pictured is what they used to be?
