Cummins isx 400 HP - kellanphil - 09-04-2025 Looking to buy a Volvo with a Cummins isx, straight piped and already de-mandated. Is this a good engine to have in your truck ? RE: Cummins isx 400 HP - marek4792 - 09-04-2025 What year and specs, rear raitos. Assume the delete is garbage. They have their short comings with smaller cac piping especially the common rail engines. I'm tinkering with my intake on the x15 volvo which I have a thread on here. Why a Volvo?.. they suck!. - They are the least fuel efficient, least profatible truck on the market that is still considered an aero truck. - Not a wise investment at all in todays market... and if you get one with an I-s$it (I-shift) tranny, then its even worse. It will loose about 1.2 - 1.4 mpg, this is as much as 18,000 - 20,000 in fuel costs per year alone. A red engine is not a bad choice .. but in a volvo, with the trucks restrictive front end and piping, it will not perform as it should. just my own thoughts any ways. |
