CM2250 Code 2973 - CropShop - 08-24-2026
I truck file redone by Rawze back earlier this year. I put it in right after I did a overhaul if that matters. It has had code 2973 pretty much ever since. Clear it and it will come back.
New engine wiring harness (and barometric pressure sensor) with the rebuild and new MAP sensor also, turbo speed sensor seems to be working OK. Outside air temp sensor also seems to be reading correctly. Installed new air filters also.
Whenever the outside ambient air temp was high this summer it would lose power, otherwise it does not run noticeably different.
I loaded the original (bad deman file) in it for diagnostic purposes, and it does not come back.
Anything else I should be checking/changing?

What is the truck make and model?
Maybe bad deman file has fault codes blanked off?
If you write back the straightened out file will the code dissapear for some time ?
EGR cooler is 100% blanked off both sides? Exhaust cans have been completely hollowed out?
VGT turbo still there?

fault code 2973 = Intake manifold pressure sensor intermittent.
bad de-mandates will hide a lot of alarms, issues.
- It is not uncommon to get intermittent code(s) for imap sensor if you plugged it in AFTER you installed it into the hole. You have to plug it in before installing it into its hole, because the connector often does not plug in quite all the way otherwise. - Also make sure its an OEM sensor.
Also what is the boost getting to in a hard sustained pull, etc?.
