I'm building a diesel rat rod..come and see - preacherboy24 - 01-13-2017

I have a 7.3 idi engine with a 5 speed tranny.......a Crown Vic front sub assembly......a Jaguar rear sub assembly.....and a PT Crusier with a bad engine out in the parking lot. Lets see what can be done to make a car worthy of a trip to A&W Root beer!

Actually.......I wish there was someone I could depend on to help me. It will be one of those "Hey want some help" the day I get to drive it.....

Got the chassis all squared up and welded. Have some details to attend to but if I had wheels it would be a roller......

I'd love to see how you fit a PT body on that. I've seen one with a hemi, never a 7.3 diesel.
I have a PT with a blown head gasket, thought it might sit on a cj jeep chassis .
Looks like a fun project!

Is the crown Vic front end able to hold all the weight

Its a police front end and the springs are stiff. I wanted the sway bar because the engine does weight in more but it wont have any front clip or even a radiator. I plan to mount the radiator in the back as well as the batteries. That combined with the fact the engine will set back from the front axle about 12 to 18 inches would make it about right.
