CM 2250 liner protrusion - overshot - 01-18-2017 Good hump day everyone. What would be the best amount of liner protrusion on my 2250. I've seen .014 and .015 on the 871 on here and .013 on a 2250 due to unusual wear. So, I'm just asking to make sure. Thanks RE: CM 2250 liner protrusion - Rawze - 01-18-2017 (01-18-2017 )overshot Wrote: Good hump day everyone. I would shoot for 0.014" if it were mine. RE: CM 2250 liner protrusion - overshot - 01-18-2017 Ok, thanks Rawze RE: CM 2250 liner protrusion - Mr Hagg - 01-18-2017 I never got a call from you did they find the problem with your truck? RE: CM 2250 liner protrusion - Running rough - 01-18-2017 0.014seems to be what cummins is recommending, I know my 870 is sitting at .009 to .010 on all the cylinders and it seems that's how it was set at on older blocks and they got away with it for the most part before liner seat fretting was so commen of a problem, but defiantly I would want to see 0.014 on any new or rebuilt engine just for peace of mind RE: CM 2250 liner protrusion - overshot - 01-18-2017 (01-18-2017 )Mr Hagg Wrote: I never got a call from you did they find the problem with your truck? No they haven't found the problem yet. They were about to lift the head off about noon today. But I haven't heard anything. I'm getting a little anxious. So I'll probably make the trip up there. To see whats happening. |
