de-commissioned doser go bad? - barf - 04-18-2017

On a CM871 with @m*m^2; can the doser go bad and start putting fuel into the exhaust? Is there an easy way to physically block a 300psi fuel line?

The supply line for the doser is here...

I see a lot of guys with de-mandated trucks take the plug that came out of the intake manifold where they installed a boost gauge and use it to plug the doser line off. If you remove the supply hose (in the picture above) and also the hex-shaped adapter behind it, then the plug fits perfectly into the hole in the IFSM.
