What tool is need it to diagnose Cab problems - hongo88 - 03-29-2018

Greetings,

I was doing some research on how to troubleshoot a A/C Clutch current below normal or open circuit on a freightliner cascadia 2012 with a DD15 and I impress with this procedure, given by an expert in one of those site where you pay to get answers. It's suppose to be done with DDEC software or DDSN, this is what the expert said "Once is open, the third tab gives all the other diag stuff for the freightliner Chassis. Select Cascadia and you will have another screen open up. Put in the VIN and then scroll down to ECM. Select ECM and then select complete diagnostic. Let it run. it takes about 20 mins. If it checks out, go to first screen for the Freightliner Chassis and select run. It takes about 10 minutes and it will bring up a page of what it finds wrong and where to do pinpoint test. That's where the DDSN/DDEC prolink comes in handy. It will test these modules because they are expensive to replace"

Is he referring to the nexiq prolink program? has any one of you used this program in the past? It looks like a good tool to have. Any help is good. Thank you in advance
