Wabco air compressor - 09pornstar - 08-08-2018

Does anyone know if there's a rebuild kit for the wabco air compressor? This is my 2nd air compressor and its blowing oil now. Figured i'd rebuild it muself if there's a kit out there since the dealer only sells rebuild ones. Thanks and stay safe!

Only individual parts ive found is the rebuilt head. That really helps when ur problem is below the head. Cant be giving people the ability to save $$$

The head rebuild kits are like $500 or more, which may or may not solve your problem. I bought a reman Wabco compressor, Big Cummins C on the side of it and entire unit painted black, reman'd in the US by Haldex if that matters, for $900 at FleetPride. Picked up a reman Bendix brand air dryer at the same time for I think $200, came with the cartridge. Both are working as they should.

One thing, the core deposit on that compressor was, sit down, $700!

The core for the air dryer was $100 I believe.

Yeah the people that rebuild these compressors, fan clutches, pumps etc., are making money off of these things and they got a supplier for those parts wich im sure cost a fraction of what a remaned compressor costs. I just need to find a supplier like that. Even if i save couple hundreds in the end i know i did it with my own hands.

I wouldn't get too excited without doing some due diligence. If you read their website it says wabco part numbers are only used has reference not a guarantee to be genuine wabco. You may be getting inferior metals or quality work from China.

I bet that they are the same parts Haldex is using in their remans!! LOL! But seriously....

I don't trust those Bendix/Haldex rebuilds. I think I'd rather buy a new-from-china compressor, and I don't know about those lol.
