What is the volt meter on the dash showing you? I'm suspecting the alternator is failing. When my alternator failed, I was having current spikes. I forget what code popped up, but I was on my way to the TA when all of this suddenly happened. I took it in and we swapped out the alternator, along with finding ALL of my cables and grounds were shot. I took the truck home and spent a few days yanking cables from the battery box and replacing over 100 feet of 0 AWG cable and an assortment of grounds. It came from the factory like this, exposed copper everywhere.

Or, you have one heck of a parasitic draw, Mr Hagg posted a reply the other day on how he tests for this. http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=4724

I hope this helps, but I am not a mechanic, just going from experience.
