Well trucks in the shop with a new head sitting in a heavy duty box sitting next to it. Got a '14 kw t660 rental 455/1700 mx-13 13sp 3.42 rears hauling one of my regular concrete mix loads 46000lbs on a normal route I can tell this kw would run circles around my truck while getting 6.5mpg doing 67. Untill I hit the hills of Omaha lie o meter was mid 7s.

Lol this ended quick got about 300 miles total for the day before the check engine lights came on engine de-rated and the red light in the def gauge is flashing...... Wtf

RE: Last straw - Unilevers - 10-07-2019

Oh the irony... Like the relatively new trucks we rented up in the oil patch, you rented 6 at a time to insure you had at least one operational unit. True story. Sounds like you may have one of those trucks. Only 5 more to go.

welcome to the world of modern trucking. The next one they bring is not likely to be much better.

- You would think that the rental company would have a solid plan in place to prevent such things, but most of them are just as clueless as the stealershits when it comes to keeping those systems somewhat reliable

If the systems on that truck would have been inspected and maintained properly between customers, it would not have failed in only 300 miles.

Bringing me a 2010 Kenworth. I think the office and insurance gona get sick of me switching eld info and insured vehicles soon lol

RE: Last straw - Lonestar10 - 10-08-2019

My guess is the 14 kw has a plugged def filter as gauge has barely even moved in a hair over 300 miles. Truck has 307000miles with 10400hrs in my book the hrs equate to the truck should have 500,000-600,000 miles

Didn't you say it has a Paccar engine?
They have troubles too.

What rental company has a 2010 truck in the fleet?
