cm2350 antifreeze in fuel - Yauchout - 11-09-2019

i have a cm2350 and i am getting antifreeze in the fuel. the davco on my truck is not heated with water the return-fuel runs through.. is their anything else i should check before pulling the head and doing injector cups

I do not believe the injector cups are repairable on the head, they are a one time use throw away head. Something else may be going on, I am still learning the 2350, others will chime in.

yea im not to sure myself .. the machine-shop claims they can install new ones but i dont want to remove it if it is not the problem the engine only has 490K on it

A cylinder head with 490K mi. On it should not be re used if taken off. You're making a huge mistake if you do that. I don't care what the machine shop says they can do.

Like Tree stated, bad move, these heads are scrap, and you are there. If that is where your problem actually is.

Wouldn't checking this be is as simple as pulling out the injectors and pressurize the coolant system to 5 psi? (no more than this though, with injectors out of it). let it sit a few hours?. See if that is your issue?.

The bigger question I would ask, is how did it end up that way?

RE: cm2350 antifreeze in fuel - Yauchout - 11-09-2019

I guess checking that way would show. I personally have never had a issue similar to this before. As far as why I don't know the antifreeze has been maintained well change and flush every 200k ish miles was last changed around 100k miles ago when the truck was demandated could improper tuning cause this problem

Bingo

Who tuned the truck? If someone not recommended here, you may have discovered the issue.
