2020 x15 models - Magard - 04-12-2020

So I’m doing some research here. I’m look at x15 is there three models of x15 now. Productivity series? Did this replace performance series. I can’t seem to find much actual information on this.

Magard, have you looked at the x12 that is supposed to be come available in paccar products soon. Freightliner has it available now as an option.
I’m waiting with anxiety for this engine to be available in a Kenworth.
From all reports I’ve been reading, and experience from some customers, this new engine seems to be the real deal.
Not based on isx12 at all, totally new to America engine.

I can’t afford to be Cummins R&D department. Every engine that’s fresh out is supposed to be the next best thing to sliced bread. Let the mega fleets sort it out first.

According to this, the productivity series uses components from both the efficiency and performance series. So i would say yes they now make 3 versions.

I’m afraid it’s a high compression version of a performance series. If so watch out. Rawze predictions of wrist pin calamities on the horizon for sure I’ll bet.

In the wisdom of gurus on this site, if you were to spec a new truck for working in California and need to be compliant. What engine series would you recommend and at what hp and torque.
I have been following the X12 since it was called the ISG and was designed to be egr free from the beginning. It has been in a Europe for many years and was developed along with the Company Foton.

I had a 2018 Pete with an ISX12, it definitely had an EGR valve.

X12 is a whole different animal

Redbeard: it looks like it has the gear train on the back side of the motor....that design would scare me a bit unless it was going in a cab over chassis.
