Hey everyone, over the last few days the coolant temp gauge on my 07 9200i will randomly quit working. When it does, the truck will start to idle rough. No check engine lights or smoke. Any advice very much appreciated!

replace the coolant temp sensor or wiring?
How old is the wiring harness?, etc.. what has been done so far? .... more info is needed.

The wiring harness hasn’t been changed since I’ve owned the truck for last 6 years. I plan on changing the temp sensor since I had this same problem when I first purchased the truck and that fixed it. Just didn’t know if it was normal for those temp sensors to go out every few years like that. Thank you
