is there not a back-up o-ring on the liner to retain the coolant?. Does not make any sense unless the manual calls for it specifically.

They have three seals at the bottom (two orings and a sealing band) the top has a .020 brass seal ring under the lip

The manual does say to use RTV. Even though I used PAI liners I checked McBee's instructions and they say not to use RTV. My friend who was a cummins mechanic in the 90s says that they never used it. He thought it was something cummins thought would be a good idea but ended up being problematic
