Cab Suspension issues - CFR__AND_SONS - 08-24-2016

Hi all,

I have a 10 Prostar Limited which I just bought a month ago. I've noticed a few issues with it that I'm addressing one at a time. The shocks in the cab suspension are completely shot. If there is air in the system I can rock my cab by hand up and down from the grab bar in the back. When I hit any dips in the freeway, the cab tops out and bottoms out. Called International and these are one piece airbags and shock and they cost almost $1000 each. Has anybody found a cheaper fix for this? I was thinking of getting some brackets welded to the frame and cab and adding shocks next to the existing piece. My airbags are fine, just the shocks don't work. Any info/experiences would help. Thanks.

I can personally vouch for this product, i have it installed on my prostar for several months now. One of the very few places who stand behind what they have made.

Thank you. I had seen this somewhere before but wasn't sure if anybody had used before. How long have you had them PUROCUMMINSPOWER

Anybody done a retrofit shock install under the cab? There was a guy that did it in another forum but never posted part numbers...

I've had them in about a month. I like this product, for one it was cheaper than replacing OEM shocks. Also if I ever have to replace air bag or shock I can do it individually. Only problem I had after install was shocks started to shift, might be I didn't align properly. I added washers to both sides to keep in the middle. I noticed a smoother ride.

Ok thank you. I'll have to order one of these.

I did a retro on the shocks but I don't know how to upload the pics. Cost about 100$ to do but I do have welders and drill press. If you have the money buy the retrofit advertised. My air bags are still good so until they go I need to spend money on getting this thing running right. I'll put the pics out if someone could tell me how.

Hi,

I just installed the pro-ride on my 2015 prostar international. My concern is about the height leveling valve linkage. I only ask because I'm not sure if the last one was properly installed. I never saw the air bags go down and this would be after 2 weeks of sitting. The last install was sitting pretty much at a 90 degree angle. When it is properly installed should there be no air coming or going out when at 90? I'd like to get this new maybach cruising outta here by Friday.

please advise.
