Don't leave your Galaxy Note charging in your truck at the hotel! - Texasdude74 - 09-15-2016

My buddy Ed's Peterbilt burned to the ground with a load of Hyundais on and severely damaged another Union car hauler parked next to him. He left it charging while he was in the hotel bar having a couple beers. Didn't know anything was wrong until he heard the sirens. Stupid Samsung!

Hope he had insurance??
Samsung announced recall on note 7. I saw that phone, it is made so you cannot remove back cover and replace the battery. On my old note4 I can remove battery. Samsung will lose alot of money now.

[attachment=1947]Wow, I was there also!
Are you sure it was the galaxy?
Looks like the fire was from the engine compartment
Let me know, I have more pics, if your friend needs them.

Yeah, he had insurance. They'll do an investigation I'm sure, probably won't get the results for a few weeks. The truck had been off for a couple hours, it is possible it was an electrical short in the truck. Truck was an '07 379 with 1.1M miles on it, engine had never been apart and everything was original.
He really loved that truck, he tricked out the interior with wood flooring, dash and door panels, leather everything, giant double gear shifters, chrome out the ass. I'm sure all that wood and leather burned like a mofo!

This is one of mine that burnt after being turned off for several hours in the port of Baltimore, it was also an '07. 625 cat with 257k miles on it.

This is another '07 of mine that caught fire going down the road with BMW's onboard. Driver barely made it out. Investigators on both of these traced the fire to the starter area.

This one was not mine thankfully. But really shows how spectacular a carhauler fire is!
