Whats the differences between cm2250 and cm2350 turbos? Can I use a 2250 turbo on a cm2350?

RE: ISX turbo - Rawze - 09-21-2023

They are both 400-series turbo's and there are 2 different models, each for the 2250 AND the 2350's.

Measuring the intake inside diameter will reveal if it is a 34mm intake or a 36mm intake. that is the only way to tell without opening it up, meaning you need a precise measuring bore gauge to tell the difference.

The 34m is for fuel efficiency, and the 36mm is for heavy haul applications.

So.. if you try to swap one willie-nilly like that, you very well could be shooting yourself in the foot on fuel mileage. It can be as much as a full MPG, and you need to ensure whatever model used, also matches the charge flow and everything else in the engine program, or you will get efficiency losses, engine brake suffering, incorrect boost levels, and other problems there too.
