RE: cm871 VGT nozzle rebulid kit to trust or not to trust? I believe the 870 returns the coolant into the block via ports on the block side via where the frost plugs get installed in the block of the 871... User's Signature: Why? Why do I always ask "why?" Because I can't learn or help teach others with "'cause I said so..."

RE: cm871 VGT nozzle rebulid kit to trust or not to trust? i don t agree with removing the cooler on a 870 BUT - its not as bad as the the 871's and up. The coolant doesn't flow the same and it does not hurt them as much. I do not recommend disrupting the coolant flow in a block, but if it is already done i wouldn't stress out too much about it as its not as major on the older ones. It comes in near the top of the thermostat housing and then returns through 2 ports in the side of the block in front of the turbo.
