Just get an old laptop wipe it clean and install insite. Then don't use it for anything but working on your engine, don't surf the interweb and hang out on pornhub with it.
If you have a cummins you NEED insite!! Not ANYTHING else. Just buy the inline adapter that waterloo linked for you and call it a day. It does all diagnostic tests, read/clear codes, forced regen's, dpf resets, computer reflashing, etc. Anything else you buy won't be as good and will probably cost a LOT more.

Sorry does it come with the insite installed or do I have to buy and download it myself

It comes with the software on a disc. You'll have to install it on a computer.

complete waste of money, as you can get insite for the same price .. and be able to actually troubleshoot the truck and re-calibrate the turbo, do injector tests and all the stuff, same as OEM but that scanner cannot do.

RE: Looking for a code scanner
I've been trying to find the insite for last couple weeks in the internet but no luck. The Inline I bought came with a CD for inline. [/u]

RE: Looking for a code scanner
ebay and alibaba have plenty of insite and inline adapters posted. I think there are entire sites dedicated to selling diagnostic software. Plus there are the auto forums that cost a nominal fee to join. They usually have it posted free. Then there are the torrent sites... file sharing sites.... file sharing communities... its everywhere no matter how far down the rabbit hole you go. You're not looking very hard

RE: Looking for a code scanner
Will this work for a 2019 x15 or do I need something more updated? I just purchased two 19's with cm2350's in them. My first cummins I've always had cats before.

RE: Looking for a code scanner
You need insite 8 or higher for X15.
