RE: 2010 Lonestar finally got pyro installed 40 miles to sioux falls pyro never goes above 190ish empty get parked at truck stop idle for 2-3minutes still cool shutdown go inside truck stop come back out its at 300 and cooling oy vey confusing. pyro is mounted as rawze states right behind the manifold snout out to the turbo on outside of manifold. with 2 hose clamps one near the tip and one further down the body. RE: 2010 Lonestar Also make sure that probe is flat on the manifold, I know a few guy on here in the past accidentally put it on some of the raise numbers on the manifold throwing of its readings

They left the cooling package on and had whatever it took to get it off. Painted and done in an afternoon. Fill the stamped letters with touch up paint the next time you do an overhead. RE: 2010 Lonestar I think I know why my thermocouple isn't working correctly if I remember right when I used to buy glowshift years ago thermocouple was maybe an eighth in in diameter. do you use a comparison that thermocouple would be the size of the colored lead and a colored pencil and the new thermocouple they're using is about the size of the pencil and they use a weather pack connector now to connect the wires to the extension wire and still used the flat small piece to connect to the gauge. So now that the thermocouple is larger it can radiantly cool better hence why I only see 200 degrees and it heats up to around 300 when I park User's Signature: 2010 Lonestar - CM871 - 13sp - 3.70s, 2016 T680 - cm2350 - 13sp - 3.36s - skateboarder

RE: 2010 Lonestar Is your gauge reading in C instead of F? I did the conversion using your number from c to f an they line up with what you should approx be seeing temp wise, well bobtail anyways

RE: 2010 Lonestar It's an x 100f glowshift gauge. So it only has Fahrenheit also a long full throttle pull and it might go from 180 to 200-210 degrees max before going back to 180. i would even in Celsius expect a larger increase than that. i actuatly saw it hit 300 degrees. but it was climbing a hill in crystal falls, MI at 15mph grossing 76k at full chooch. i think ima have to drill and tap the doser housing and just do an exhaust stream gauge and add 200-300degrees to that temp to get manifold side temps. i know she hasnt been getting to hot as my paint burn on turbo bearing housing is only maybe 1inch kinda like what rawze points out in VL Sanders youtube vid.
