CEL ABS error Composite Connector 9800; left frame rail behind cab 2011 Prostar high rise sleeper Exposed to the elements, the ramp tabs were missing and halves held together with zip ties. Connector wasn't sealing between the halves and I was getting CEL ABS and traction control error lights on dash with "abs module" error message. Only related error code was for second axle right hand side sensor error. All the parts are available from secondary sources; plug, receptacle, pins, seals. International #'s 3558022c1 and 3558026c1 or TE AMP 967558-1 and 964739-1 Bought the two halves and reused everything else. Transferred wires from old to new one at a time. There are also silicone blanking plugs not shown on 7 unused holes. Pushed them out with a piece of zip tie. Be careful they like to pop out like a champagne cork. RE: CEL ABS error Composite Connector 9800; left frame rail behind cab Wow, that could be my problem. Can u talk about when and why the ABS light would turn on ? Mine has the ramp tabs in good working condition, but when I move it with my hands, the ABS light turns on. The strange thing is that sometimes it turns on for no apparent reason. It’s not necessarily when it rains. Sometimes it’s in the morning after cranking the engine. It can be perfect for weeks before it starts bugging again. I have tried repairing cables that looked bad and cleaned the contacts inside the connectors. But it always comes back. User's Signature: I Need to start asking my stupid questions

RE: CEL ABS error Composite Connector 9800; left frame rail behind cab I get the error in rain or after a truck wash. In warm weather the cel goes away after a few hours drive and a key off and restart. User's Signature: 2011 Prostar Cummins 871

Could be wiring, but most of the time, it is a wheel bearing out of adjustment, and your first sign that no one has tightened the wheel bearings (every 200k miles or so) at regular intervals like they should be doing. This also makes for excess tire edge wear on the rear axles. User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!.

On my own truck, I no longer have it. That plug was completely destroyed when I lost my rear drives-shaft on mine a year or 2 ago. International wanted more than $1,000 for that one wiring harness alone. -- I went on amazon and got a bunch of automotive 3-pin and 4-pin delphi connectors, re-wired, and removed that entire bas#tard of a proprietary plug on mine. I made the entire harness all standardized plugs including tail light assy, abs, everything. User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!.

RE: CEL ABS error Composite Connector 9800; left frame rail behind cab Interesting solution making a terminal extraction tools with tig rod. I did the same thing a few years ago except I used the metal strip found in a windshield wiper blade. Works really well for AMP and Tyco connectors.
