RE: 7 codes J1939 system down Excellent result. This is how truck repairs should go, not just changing every part related to the fault until it becomes inactive.

Agreed, probably should make this thread required reading before people are allowed to post on the board. User's Signature: That’s pronounced, /ˈs(k)izəm/

RE: 7 codes J1939 system down Yesterday cel came on with a code 4143 Aftertreatment 1 Particulate Sensor Circuit - Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source Only 1 count and was inactive. I cleared the code but it came back about 3 hours later. Any idea why all these components would be having problems at the same time? Also looked at the regen history and it hasn't regened in 30 hours dpf is at 2.6 not sure why that is?? It hasn't asked for a parked regen yet, should I do a forced??

RE: 7 codes J1939 system down $325 for the outlet nox and now $425 for a particulate sensor!! Might be time to fix this thing once and for all.

RE: 7 codes J1939 system down Not even 100,000 miles and you're already replacing parts of the emissions junk. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come... User's Signature: "...And as we wind on down the road, Our Shadows taller than our Soul..."

Drove the truck for about a week like this. Kept clearing the code, was always inactive and only 1 or 2 counts. Decided to change that sensor also(Particulate sensor) because according to quickserve that's the only fix for code 4143. Changed it and problem is solved. I don't know what caused both sensors to go bad within days of each other, maybe just coincidence?? Did one go bad and short out the other?? Who knows.

Who knows. Most likely (if I remember correctly) the NOx sensor that you found shorted and blew the fuses also caused damage to this sensor, if indeed they are on the same circuit. Maybe not enough to fry it, but just enough to damage some internal component. User's Signature: "...And as we wind on down the road, Our Shadows taller than our Soul..."
