| Dd15 crank no start I have a 2012 DD 15 that we have a crank no start issue. The truck came in for a lube oil filter, and after changing all the fluids and filters we found that the truck would crank, but no start tried putting a purge tank on it to purge out the air and still crank no start. Upon taking apart, the three filter fuel system I found that the check valve was bad. Tried to get parts but ended up replacing the fuel filter housing to a two filter system upon doing so still crank no start performed a fuel integrity test, and found that it had no low side pressure. We then therefore replace the injection pump and low pressure pump. Still crank no start still zero psi on low pressure side 275 to 325 bar on high-pressure side we then replaced injectors and it fired for about 10 seconds then shut off and again crank no start no low pressure. We are kind of at a loss with this thing. | |||

I SURE HOPE LIKE ALL H3#ELL THAT YOU DID NOT REPLACE THE OIL FILTER AND THE FUEL FILTER AT THE SAME TIME WHILE TRUCK WAS SHUT OFF!!!!> ... YOU ARE ASKING FOR A SERIOUS LAWSUIT IF YOU DO IT THAT WAY!!. IF YOU ARE.. THIS IS YOUR ONE AND ONLY WARNING!!!.. TO CHANGE HOW YOU DO SERVICE DD15'S FROM THIS POINT FORWARDS!!!. Its based on a well known issue with them as they get older,... and even Detroit I think has procedures for oil change that now warn against this if I am not mistaken... | RE: Dd15 crank no start As far as the no-start goes... did someone pump the fuel primer by hand about 20-30 times after the fuel filter change?. What does the oil pressure and fuel pressure show (in troubleshooting software) while connected to the ecm and it cranking?. I.E.> On red engines, if the fuel pressure while cranking is below 50-psi... engine will not even open injectors to fire a cylinder. | RE: Dd15 crank no start Truck has low side pressure on gauge but will not read on computer, new harness, new sensor, new computer, new low and high pressure pumps. I don’t get why I can’t get low pressure reading. Looking for ideas | |||
